Meet our Therapists

Maria Silva

I believe that change happens when we are open. I have over four years of experience working with individuals, couples, and youth. I am also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

I specialize in working with individuals who have addictions, PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or loss, various stressors, and relationship issues. Every person possesses the power to grow, heal, and build genuine, loving relationships that help lay the foundation for moving forward and becoming who they want to be. I want to assist clients in reaching their fullest potential.

I typically use CBT, DBT, mindfulness, EMDR, the Flash Technique, and person-centered therapy. I provide a comprehensive approach in my therapy sessions, allowing clients to choose what best suits them.

Clients aim to heal themselves and need support to embrace their true selves. The clients who permit me to work with them open new doors to hope and improved life expectancy. This is just the beginning of a whole new world of opportunity.

Jason Waller

Struggling with methamphetamines? Opioid abuse? Hi, my name is Jason Waller and as a Licensed Profession Counselor (LPC), I work with my clients to identify and process underlying factors to their addiction using various counseling approaches, but mainly cognitive-behavioral and person-centered counseling techniques. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and lasting change, regardless of how heavy their burdens may feel. Recovery is a deeply personal journey that requires more than just willpower; it requires a supportive foundation and the right tools. Addiction is a multifaceted challenge involving biological, psychological, and social factors. By utilizing a "person-centered" approach, treatment plans are tailored to meet the unique needs and cultural backgrounds of each individual, ensuring that the path to wellness is both sustainable and empowering. I have been working with substance abuse clients for several years and I have learned that taking the first step toward recovery is an act of immense courage. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or are looking to find your way back to your path, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths, heal past wounds, and build a future defined by hope and resilience

We’re an Outpatient Treatment Program

Sometimes a comprehensive assessment will indicate that outpatient treatment is the best place to start in the road to recovery. There are many reasons to start here—generally depending on the level of the addiction, and how long the client has been addicted. Outpatient services allow the client to continue his or her current level of commitment to family, work and school. While outpatient treatment is not as restrictive as residential treatment, it still offers each client a safe environment to address their behavioral needs. Harbor House, Inc. provides a network of recovery support through individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, and self-help groups of others in recovery.

Another advantage of outpatient treatment is cost. The cost of outpatient treatment is usually lower, depending on the number of outpatient sessions. Many insurance companies prefer their beneficiaries to participate in outpatient services and will pay only for those services.

Some clients start by giving outpatient services a try, then decide residential treatment would be more effective; or, they opt for intensive outpatient services. Whatever your choice, your counselor can help with those decisions.and a passion for doing things well.
